Lowe's Is Coming to Westlake, FL
Lowe's is opening a 134,148 SF store and South Central Florida regional headquarters at Westlake Town Center. Here's everything residents need to know.
A Major Retail Win for Westlake
Westlake is getting its own Lowe's Home Improvement store — and it's not a typical location. This Lowe's will serve as the South Central Florida regional headquarters, covering an area from the Palm Beaches all the way to Titusville. That makes it one of the most significant retail announcements in the city's short history.
Westlake Mayor JohnPaul O'Connor called it "winning the retail lottery," noting that Lowe's choosing to make this kind of investment puts Westlake firmly on the map as a growing commercial hub.

How Did This Come Together?
Minto Communities USA, Westlake's master developer, sold a 10.64-acre parcel within the community to Lowe's Home Centers, LLC. The land sale closed on January 29, 2026. The deal was approved unanimously by the Westlake City Council.
Minto Senior VP John Carter described it as "a major win for Westlake and a clear reflection of the city's strong growth trajectory and long-term potential." He noted that since the Publix opened, foot traffic at Westlake's Town Center has grown by more than 116%.
When Will It Open?
At the August 2025 City Council meeting, the city estimated construction would begin in October 2025, with an 11-month build timeline putting the opening target at late 2026 to early 2027. What This Means for Residents
Right now, Westlake residents typically drive 30 minutes or more to reach a Lowe's. With this store coming to the neighborhood, home improvement supplies, garden center goods, and contractor services will be minutes away — and for some, reachable by golf cart along Town Center Parkway.
The Lowe's is also expected to generate $47,000 annually in property taxes for the city, on top of sales and use tax revenue — money that goes directly toward Westlake's growing infrastructure and services.
