The Westlake Fieldhouse — What's Coming to the Pines

The Westlake Fieldhouse is a new 6-acre recreation facility coming to the Pines neighborhood — with sports fields, a dog park, toddler play area, and community building. Construction starts fall 2026.

Westlake is getting its second major amenity, and it's been a long time coming. The Westlake Fieldhouse — officially the Westlake Master HOA Fieldhouse — is a new six-acre recreational facility planned for the east corner of Riverbend Road and Town Center Parkway, right at the front of The Pines neighborhood.

It's a resident-inspired project: for years, Westlake families asked Minto Communities for a second gathering space that felt more relaxed and walkable than the Adventure Park — somewhere to kick a ball around, let the dog run, or grab a coffee on a weekend morning. The Fieldhouse is the answer.

What Will the Westlake Fieldhouse Include?

Based on the approved concept plan and Minto Communities' official announcement, the Fieldhouse will feature:

A 4,200-square-foot multi-purpose community building — including approximately 2,650 sq ft of air-conditioned indoor space, flexible event areas for birthday parties and gatherings, a coffee bar, office space, and restrooms
Covered outdoor seating areas adjacent to the main building
Multi-use sports fields for open recreational use — casual pickup games, not league sports
A covered toddler play area with outdoor play features and shaded gathering zones
A relocated and expanded dog park — moving from Westlake Adventure Park to this new site, with more shade and seating

One thing the Fieldhouse will not include: an indoor fitness center. Minto has consistently said the insurance costs for the HOA make a commercial-style gym impractical at this site.

When Will the Westlake Fieldhouse Open?

According to Minto Communities USA, construction is expected to begin in fall 2026, with completion targeted for fall 2027.

The project was approved by the Westlake City Council at the August 4, 2026 regular meeting — the same meeting that approved The Avery at Westlake apartments and the Westlake West residential rezoning.

Where Is the Fieldhouse Located?

The Westlake Fieldhouse will be built on the east corner of Riverbend Road and Town Center Parkway — in front of The Pines neighborhood, near Westlake's central commercial corridor. It's designed to be walkable from homes in The Pines and surrounding neighborhoods.

How Does It Compare to Westlake Adventure Park?

The Fieldhouse is intentionally different from Westlake Adventure Park — it's meant to complement it, not compete with it.

Westlake Adventure Park (5490 Kingfisher Blvd) is Westlake's flagship $22 million amenity complex, featuring a resort-style lagoon pool with a tower slide, splash pad, adult lap pool, BMX pump park, basketball and bocce courts, a concert pavilion, food truck court, and The Lodge event space. It's a destination.

The Westlake Fieldhouse is designed for everyday, casual use — a place to walk to, let the kids play, grab coffee, and connect with neighbors without it being a big trip. Think neighborhood park with a community building, not resort amenity.

Is the Fieldhouse Open to the Public?

No. The Westlake Fieldhouse is a Minto Communities / Master HOA amenity for Westlake residents. It is not a public park open to the general public. Access will be tied to Westlake HOA membership, consistent with how Westlake Adventure Park operates.

Who Is Building It?

The Fieldhouse is a Minto Communities USA project, developed as part of Westlake's master-planned community infrastructure. Minto is the original developer of Westlake and continues to build new homes and amenities in the community.
