Parks & Recreation in Westlake, FL

Your guide to parks and recreation in Westlake, FL — Adventure Park, the coming Fieldhouse, Xcel Padel, city events, and outdoor amenities for families.

Published August 1, 2026

Westlake, Florida was master-planned from the start to feel like more than just a neighborhood — recreation, green space, and community amenities are woven into the city's DNA. Here's a plain-language look at what's open now, what's on the way, and how to stay connected to what's happening.

Westlake Adventure Park — The Heart of the Community

The flagship amenity in Westlake is Westlake Adventure Park, located at 5490 Kingfisher Blvd. This $22 million facility was built by Minto Communities as part of the city's master plan, and it doubles as Westlake's civic living room — City Council regular meetings are even held in The Lodge here.

What's at Westlake Adventure Park

The park opened in phases, with the final phase completing in 2023. It's the social center of Westlake life and the venue for most large community events.

The Westlake Fieldhouse — Coming Fall 2027

Westlake's next major recreational investment is the Westlake Master HOA Fieldhouse, planned for the Pines neighborhood. This six-acre facility will expand the community's options well beyond what the Adventure Park offers.

What the Fieldhouse Will Include

Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026, with completion targeted for fall 2027. The Fieldhouse is a Minto Communities / Master HOA project — an amenity for Westlake residents, not a general public park. Track Fieldhouse progress on the full parks guide →

Xcel Padel — New Racket Sport Facility Coming to Westlake

Xcel Padel is bringing a padel tennis facility to the James Business Park area in Westlake. Padel — a fast-growing racket sport that blends elements of tennis and squash — is a fresh addition to Westlake's growing fitness scene. The project is actively tracked on Westlake Pulse.

Neighborhood Parks & Green Space

Beyond the major amenities, Westlake's neighborhoods include pocket parks, walking trails, and green corridors built into the master plan. The Seminole Improvement District (SID) maintains much of the community's common areas and waterways — which give Westlake its open, airy character even as it continues to grow.

City Events & Programs

The City of Westlake runs an active events calendar year-round. One highlight is FourthFest — Westlake's annual Independence Day celebration. The July 4, 2026 FourthFest brought the community together for the city's signature outdoor celebration.
