If you've spent any time in Westlake, FL, you've heard about Westlake Adventure Park — and for good reason. It's the social and recreational heart of the community, and one of the most impressive amenities you'll find in any master-planned neighborhood in South Florida.

Here's a complete rundown of what's at the park, how it fits into life in Westlake, and what's coming next for the community's recreation scene.

Where Is Westlake Adventure Park?

Westlake Adventure Park is located at 5490 Kingfisher Blvd, Westlake, FL 33470. It sits near the heart of the community, accessible from the main residential neighborhoods and the Town Center corridor.

What's at Westlake Adventure Park?

This $22 million facility was built by Minto Communities as part of Westlake's master plan. It opened in phases, with the final phase completing in 2023. Here's what you'll find inside:

The Lodge — Westlake's Civic Living Room

The Lodge at Westlake Adventure Park is more than just a party venue. It also serves as the official location for Westlake City Council regular meetings, held at 6:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month. That tells you something about how central this facility is to life in the city — it's not just for recreation, it's where the community gathers to make decisions together.

For City Council meeting schedules and agendas, see the Westlake City Council Meetings guide.

Is Westlake Adventure Park Open to the Public?

Westlake Adventure Park is a Minto Communities / Master HOA amenity. Access is available to Westlake residents through their HOA membership. It is not a general public park open to anyone — but if you live in or are buying a home in Westlake, it comes with your community.

What's Coming Next — The Westlake Fieldhouse

Westlake isn't stopping at the Adventure Park. A second major recreational facility — the Westlake Fieldhouse — is planned for the corner of Riverbend Road and Town Center Parkway, in front of The Pines neighborhood.

The Fieldhouse will be a different experience than the Adventure Park — designed for everyday, walkable casual use rather than a destination visit. It will include:

Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026, with completion targeted for fall 2027. Learn more on the Westlake Fieldhouse guide.

Other Recreation Coming to Westlake

Xcel Padel is also bringing a padel tennis facility to the James Business Park area in Westlake. Padel — a fast-growing racket sport that blends elements of tennis and squash — is a new addition to Westlake's fitness options. The project is actively tracked on Westlake Pulse.

City-Run Parks Events

Beyond the HOA amenities, the City of Westlake runs an active events calendar. One annual highlight is FourthFest — the city's Independence Day celebration, which drew the community together in July 2026.
