What Is Westlake Adventure Park?

Westlake Adventure Park is the social and recreational centerpiece of Westlake, Florida — a $22 million, resort-style community amenity complex that opened in phases starting in 2019. If you live in Westlake or are considering a move here, the Adventure Park is one of the biggest reasons residents love the community.

It's located at 5490 Kingfisher Blvd, Westlake, FL 33470, near the heart of the master-planned community and easily reachable by foot or bike from most Westlake neighborhoods.

What's Inside the Park?

The park opened in phases beginning in June 2019, with Minto Communities USA — Westlake's master developer — completing the final phase in April 2023. Here's what you'll find:

The Lodge at Westlake Adventure Park

The Lodge is more than just an event venue — it's where the Westlake community comes together. Westlake City Council regular meetings are held at The Lodge on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, which tells you something about how central it is to city life.

Is It Open to the Public?

Westlake Adventure Park is a Minto Communities / Master HOA amenity — it is primarily for Westlake residents and their guests. Access is tied to Westlake HOA membership. It is not a general-admission public park. If you're considering buying a home in Westlake, access to the Adventure Park is one of the signature benefits of living here.

A Brief History of the Park

Westlake Adventure Park opened its first phase in June 2019, shortly after the first Westlake residents moved in. Minto Communities continued expanding the park over the next several years, completing the final phase — which added the BMX pump park and additional features — in April 2023. The $22 million total investment made it one of the most ambitious community amenity complexes built alongside any new Florida master-planned community.

Westlake itself was incorporated as Palm Beach County's 39th municipality on June 22, 2016, and was founded in September 2014 when Minto Communities purchased 3,800 acres in what was then the Seminole Improvement District.

What's Coming Next — The Westlake Fieldhouse

Westlake Adventure Park will soon have a companion facility. The Westlake Fieldhouse — a six-acre recreational complex planned for The Pines neighborhood along Town Center Parkway — is expected to break ground in Q1 2027, with a summer 2028 opening target.
